That is only one of the things that will change for the worse for the company once I start to RTO - or let me rephrase that, once I'm forced to RTO.

Take sick time, see all the doctors and do all tests and exams needed while job-based insurance is available. Marketplace plan or COBRA will cost more.
Sick time is a benefit. Use it when you need to.
Take your sick time now. If you're laid off you lose the time. They pay out accrued vacation time - not sick time. Take it or lose it.
Most companies trust their employees enough that they don't care if they go to a dental appointment without taking PTO or sick time. Then there's Charles Schwab.
@1qkq+1osFWWtX 1tai+1osFWWtX same. I never log these things as sick time, I just go do them.

Yes, I have gotten my teeth cleaned, seen the dentist yearly, had physicals and etc. Also took my kids to the doctors too. When you would you need to take an entire day off for any of these activities. Usually I can do it within 1.5 hours, including drive time, maybe even pick up lunch. And no, I don't log that as sick time, and usually make the the time WFH.
- 5 years WFH and you've never gone to a dentist for cleaning, family doctor for checkup, etc... sorry, I'm not buying it.
There's nothing wrong with that. I am the same way. We've been telecommuting for the past three years or so, and I've only taken 4 or 5 sick days that I can remember. That's when I am really bad. Two of those was recovery from covid, which really through me for a loop. Otherwise, if its just a running nose, sneezing, cough, I can still work and just struggle through.
OP I can relate to this. Taking sick days when I am WFH doesn't feel right unless I am so under the weather that I know my work would suffer. VS being in office if I am sneezing or coughing but still functioning at an acceptable level I would be hesitant to goninto the office as I don't want to be that person bringing sickness to others potentially no matter how diligent I am the fact remains no one wants someone who is coughing or sneezing in office. Curious how others use their sick time. I would love ve to use it for mental health days but lets be honest that just feels like a vacation day.
Sounds like poor off time management OP.
