New sitting arrangement in QP vs. productivity

Productivity has gone down for me due to cramped work environment where it is very difficult to concentrate on work with all the side distractions.

Anyone else facing the same issue?

With more and more remote collab, yet company still think it is a good idea to have an open office environment....is abolustely ridiculous.

The notion of open office is to remove walls so it make it easier for ppl to work together IN THE SAME OFFICE.

Guess that's too much common sense for our management. Or too much fear for middle management to reflect to the upper echelon

Remeber 111 St. Clair, 90 Wynford, 1 Duncan Mill Road?

QP will be next to be sold, and people that work there will cease to become employees....

Yes, the restack has been a drag on productivity. Much more densely packed, difficult to concentrate with so many noisy conversations happening at the same time, and very few huddle rooms left. The original plan for open office was supposed to have a good number on huddle rooms to allow for smaller meetings and focused work to complement the open office setting, but now it's just densely packed cubes with no huddle rooms. Plus lineups for microwaves and bathrooms, and having to walk halfway across the floor to find a garbage can.

If you've ever been at any of the sites offoces then the new arrangement at QP is nothing, and shouldn't affect productivity. Only issue I see is when you need some privacy you need to go out of your way to get it sometimes.

This is the company strategy. All jobs are going to BTC anyways. Don’t get comfortable.
