Thread regarding Charles Schwab Corp. layoffs

This is all about forcing attrition

The lack of transparency, telling us one thing and doing another, announcing layoffs then letting us wait... All of this combined is aimed at getting people to realize the stress is too much and to leave on their own. This is all intentional, just to save them money they'd otherwise have to pay in severance.

If you didn’t start getting your resume out there the second they announced RTO you’re behind the 8Ball

@zyb+1oosIzV8 I used to have that attitude. Been at this firm a long time. Before I wanted to work hard because it was a different culture. When they turned cold, so did I.

I always give it 100%. Because that is the proper work ethic. I work as hard if this was my first day, 100th day, 3650th day, or my last day. They still pay me for services rendered, regardless any other feelings I may have.

I agree 100% it’s been unbearable. The worst layoff process. But you just have to be a step ahead. Don’t stress over work. No sense giving them 100%. Giving them the bare minimum. They not getting much from me till this is over with. They only hurting themselves. Even our leaders are checked out. So if they don’t care then I care less.

If that was their plan, they picked a he-l of a time in the business cycle to do it...
