Thread regarding Neiman Marcus Group layoffs

Merger will fail

Just read about it on Neiman
Marcus su-ks on Facebook . Think what was said was spot on

Here's why it is doomed.. Saks isn't even the same company it was a few years ago.Its 4 different companies propped up by private equity..
It isn't performing well like Neiman and also hides it's financial results .Both aren't doing well. Think Sears Kmart type merger. Plus interest rates to complete the sale which would be at a low sale price wouldn't satisfy the 3 owners it was dumped on in bankruptcy. Geoffrey just wants more cash . Nothing new here .Plus the banks will take millions in consulting fees..Plus they overlap bad in a few markets especially with Bergdorf. Dead on arrival folks

I would take what other source on Facebook Neiman Marcus su-ks says.
You got one poster obsessed with the board as they rarely reign a bad CEO in... if so why wasn't Karen Katz gone..look at how foul she was.. zero decency is a Neiman Marcus standard

Von Maur also .they open a store or two a year...are upscale...Have a lower priced chain that floats the company too called dry goods...

Flagship stores aren't dead everywhere

They have entertained this merger numerous times when both have hard times . I see it as the joke that it is as well .. if it went through Bloomingdales or Nordstrom may want a few extra stores in certain markets if the real estate is right
