The big question is where does GF go moving into the future in terms of strategic direction to increase revenue and gross margins to allow for increased development investment? The current technology roadmap has nothing novel in it to differentiate GF from TSMC and UMC. The innovation in the technologies is lagging the competition, the PDK capabilities and IP within PDK is lagging the competition so what is GF's next move? The RF ship is starting to sink, GF is falling behind in the RF area. Automotive area GF is a bottom feeder with nothing novel to offer. In compute, given GF stopped scaling at 12nm they are not even a player. So where does this leave GF in the market, why will customers come to GF? Unless the new CTO brings new life and innovation into the company, the rest of the SLT is a bunch of washed up never has been who bring zero innovation into the company. In my opinion the only hope for GF even maintaining market share is if the new CTO is given the power to decide on investments and technology roadmaps, the other SLT misfits need to just get out of the way or just leave because they have zero value, actually their value is negative because they produce nothing but get paid high salaries!!!!!!

The brain drain took the skiillset, SiPh would have been further along. Death by 1000 cuts.
So many great advancements ened when the main drivers left.
@lac ..... SiPh GF is lagging the industry on and program is struggling and customers are leaving. GF Labs has done nothing useful. IMEC membership has given RF and HV GaN which GF is lagging industry on. Fab in France is just transferring 22FDX into it, nothing new and novel for tech portfolio. Come on, don't make up useless cr-p, come forward with something useful.
You forgot "Fotonix". You forgot that GF Labs which is worldwide will provide the innovation. You forgot imec membership. You forgot Fab in France with ST.
