Yup - 48% of all sim changes are done erroneously by offshore technicians. This leads to stolen crypto and hacked bank accounts.

The fact that this was posted, shows the ignorance of the individual. Root passwords are not allowed to outsourced employees offshore. That would go against DHS guidelines.
Offshore jobs will not go away as long as they're better for the bottom line for companies. This isn't new and this won't change going forward on any industry.
You don't think Verizon and AT&T use overseas support? Major companies that T-Mobile and other companies use are all based overseas. The nature of the industry.
Do those roles have access to USGCI or CMMC data? A big no no.

While I do agree that there's more risk, I'd also recommend running like he-l from T-Mobile service. However, the risk is already present. That data is already offshore. Too late... But still tell everyone you know run like he-l!

First, they should work on protecting data on shore.
It’s also taking away jobs from Americans and has adverse effect on economy. Just shows how much they truly care about people.
I agree. This is serious! We should spread awareness via Linkedin, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter etc.
