even though i know in the end, everything will be okay no matter what happens at schwab, i’ve still been unable to sleep since the layoff announcement.
anyone else acting normal and fine in meetings, but dealing with insomnia at night?

Me too. Sleep has become elusive.
I wasn’t able to sleep for a while since the layoff announcements, because I was up all night partying and then pulling a shift at Schwab. But I have since stopped partying. Been able to sleep really well now.
I am in STS (role 58) and actively looking outside Schwab since last 1 month. There are hardly jobs out there. It feels as if every company has frozen the hiring. I don’t see remote jobs either and too many applicants for a single position. The more Schwab delays the layoffs, the better it is for all of us.
@kpx+1oifvw4d - good for you! I'm happy that you have not been diagnosed with PTSD, Major Depressive Disorder, or Anxiety Disorder by medical professionals.
For the rest of us that have official diagnosis and cannot turn off the switch by simply looking at our finances, insomnia medications will have to make do.
That is, unless we are laid off, are unable to find a job quickly, and then our insurance runs out. 🙃
I wasn’t sleeping much until I sat down and reviewed my personal financial situation. Schwab leadership no longer has any control over my mental state. I double dog dare them to lay me off, so I can collect a nice severance and move on to something MUCH better.
@wfn+1oifvw4d Thank you. I agree and understand, and yet…
i'm sorry to hear that OP.
control what you can control, no sleeping is going to affect your health and frankly, its not worth it. update your resume and start applying if you're worried, take control.
