I assumed finishing NPI would open the layoff valve, as my team is always slammed during NPI. I was wrong. I lost four teammates in Digital Ops on Day 1.

It means that the annual Apple launch in September is one of the busiest times because customers are ordering the new phones and products. To cut people during this time would cause a massive strain on the company. So corporations will first use you for the launch and then lay you off (dispose) after this period is done.
