Thread regarding Charles Schwab Corp. layoffs

Attrition

Management is to blame. They spent millions of dollars and labor hours trying to “revamp” the training program instead of listening to their employees. Why not keep your employees that are here to work? In the end this didn’t even help with employee retention. I don’t even understand what some of them did. They would come in late and leave early. I wish I got paid to run a team of 3 employees and hand out snacks on a cart. Managers need to take calls for at least an hour once a week to have empathy for their employees.

I'm a strong believer that a Manager should always be able to do the employee's job. Not sure how brokers are being properly supervised if the Manager can't demonstrate continued proficiency. Seems to me Directors should do this, too. Maybe someone would finally listen that changing tools every 6 months or adding another system/area of "expertise" for front line agents will NOT increase productivity and better the client experience...no matter what some vendor claims.

Sad that they will put their own lunches on the company card but won’t let you drink alcohol during team outings.

what are you rambling on about? from training, to peoples coming and goings, to snacks, and then a hour meeting to teach empathy? if you're referring to the reduction in force, nobody is happy about that, no-one, but its corp america.
