Relocation or severance?

I Keep hearing that vital/necessary remote employees will be offered a relocation package to Bellevue/OP/Dallas, but if you aren't willing to be on-site, you'll get the severance instead.

Can anyone confirm?
What does the package offer?

This round seems like it is a full cut and run, no relos, no new position, just eliminating roles.

Full remote employee here. If it makes any difference, I wasn't offered a relocation package and was cut within just a few hours of Mike's original layoff-announcement email.

Go to t-nation and type severance into the search bar. There's several PDFs that go over the severance package in detail. The relocation stuff is hearsay at this point, though it's likely true. They'll probably offer the usual 8-10K relocation amount.

If they are deemed vital and necessary their remote status will remain the same.

Remote employees are not being cut or asked to relocate. There will always be the need for some roles to be remote.

There is a 0% remote policy in effect, if you do not relocate you will be cut.

You’ll find out soon enough. This is not a reputable place to get accurate information.
