Thread regarding Avaya layoffs

VonagAya

This unreasonable inflow of Vonage people is not funny anymore. Not a week passes by without 1 or 2 new faces popping up in engineering and BU. I wasn't aware that Avaya was such an appealing place to work, that was until I learned about the substantial sign-on bonuses these folks are receiving.

Given the recent news of impending cuts, how is AM getting away with giving all of these HUGE sums of money to his Vonage friends?

Vonage was a mess before it was sold to Ericsson. Probably still is.

It's EGREGIOUS.
This is way beyond what we've seen before with Verizon, Mitel, etc.
IF Alan is the Messiah he claims himself to be, then he should LEAD and not have to stack his management teams with expensive friends.
Everything he does is a contradiction to his claims and promises.

This is not the first time. Remember in when we hired that channel Sales VP from Mitel and he brought around 20 sales people from Mitel he use to work with. Also, that said leader only lasted 10 months at Avaya.

The same thing happened with hiring Cisco leaders and they would hire all their friends when we had data before the dumpster fire sale to Extreme.
