Political change won’t stop corporations from quietly replacing hybrid employees with third world tech and engineering workers. It’s all online now. They will save billions.
Imagine if there was some kind of hypothetical climate emergency that was announced where we would all be locked down again. Only power (gasoline & electricity) and food was rationed while mass layoffs occurred. Without the ability to work, the masses would lose their homes. Hot war could emerge during this situation where the young men were drafted. Just a hypothetical. Get back to your beer and tv.

"Too bad age discrimination suits are the only kind that are designed to be impossible to win."

WEF 2030 Plan: "Welcome to 2030. I own nothing, have no privacy, and life has never been better"

Well they got the first two right.

When companies offer a buy out package you take a risk on deciding whether to take it or not. You need to evaluate the package but also taking it as a warning sign of things to come. You won’t get a do-over so those who get an offer need to choose wisely.

My signs were the fact the VSP GM cast a wide net with only requiring 5 years of eligibility along with a very good package so there was a lot of incentive to take it. Then there was all the game playing with the wording the SLT used for the February performance cuts and Work Appropriately. This implied there would be cuts just using different names.

The teams meetings where they ask each other how to write "hello world"?

You can cry "Give me a sweet deal, I'm special" out the door with your little box.
The NCH's will wave bye-bye during their teams meetings.

"Experienced"="old and well paid"

They only want NCHs and H1Bs around here.

Reason for asking for 2nd VSP is that some managers are treating experienced employees like sh-t after the VSP deadline since these employees have not volunteered. Treatment was very professional and respectable before VSP.

Why didn't you take the VSP when it was offered to you?

You want them to pay you a generous package to leave because you failed to make the right decision the first time? Are you stupid?

They offered you the carrot with the VSP.

If you decided not to take it, you missed out, and now they're bringing out the stick.

Now they're making the decisions. If they make the decision to let you go, legally they don't have to give you any severance at all, let alone something generous.

I can see why you'd want a generous payout like the one you decided not to take before, though.

SMH
The initial VSP was the effort to ease people into mass job cuts.
Why would they offer you a generous package when they are in the process of offering you very little during "restructuring"?
They are shoring up cash for the UAW battle and for the Great Financial Collapse pt2.
Mass layoffs with very small severances is what you will get.
