I don’t have any answers as to why so many people are getting laid off but I almost lost my 67 Corvette in a fire, which is more tragic.
I believe GM management are being extremely rational. You might not like it, but they know exactly what they are doing. Lying, gaslighting, and demoralizing is borderline psychopathic but perfectly rational behavior. They do it with a smile, and if you are non-compliant, they get rid of you quickly.
Their current behavior is irrational too
"rationalizing" implies their previous behavior was irrational.
Don't believe anything GM Satan team tells you.. they are masters in lying to te--orize their employees and make them work like slaves then at the end fire them after lying their are no layoffs in their all people meeting. Most GM employees have this weird loyalty to GM , maybe it is genuine, maybe it is brown nosing and most likely that.. but the more you show your devotion the more GM knows that they achieved their goal of having obedient slaves that will do anything they say and defend anything they do.. You all need to WAKE UP. Don't treat GM as a God. they are in fact devil worshiper company lead by the satan Mary Barra and her minions. I for one know that I will never buy any new GM product again. Fu-k them.

This was posted yesterday and it’s only for Arizona . GM confirmed already that the other three IT centers will not be impacted . However, in reality, GM might go for more layoffs .
The closure is not for cost-cutting purposes, he said, but rather to streamline efficiencies.

(Sounds like more cuts are not only considered but coming our way.)
