Thread regarding Crown Castle International Corp. layoffs

What if we just don’t come into the office?

Curious about the number of people interested in refusing to comply with the loss of the hybrid schedule. The company lied. It is not okay. If we can get a good amount of the workforce onboard, we can demand change.

If you find a better deal go for it. Don't be afraid to make a change, you were looking for a job when you got this one. If you fail, get laid off or the job ends you apply for another CC opening. If your record was good you come back. You did something right to get here, don't lament how they screwed you, happens to everyone. Su-k it up move on, don't worry about changing them, not gonna happen. People and corps change priorities, lie, make mistakes nothing personal...just playing the game.

It’s stunning really how we were lied to. The writing has been on the wall for so long that it’s actually toxic all the way at the top but some of us were just holding onto hope that Crown was someplace special.

Then you should have been the one to volunteered. Everyone knew this would get ugly. I know many who have been here 10 plus years, doing there job every single day ,moved hundred of miles away from family, have lost sleep, missed ball games/practices, family time, vacations, anniversaries and still showed up because it’s their job and at the end of the day they are gone.

People could’ve said the office will never be pure, Covid we’ll never end, and I’ll return to office when Covid is over. I think deep down, you know what happened to all those people.

I can guarantee it’s not a rumor, although I can’t provide anonymous proof at this point in time. We’ll be back 5 days within 6 months if the current schedule holds true. They don’t care about losing talent as new talent is always knocking on the door.

I did hear a rumor from someone with insight into HR, and this is purely only a rumor at this point, that they’re going to consider exploring allowing for the option of a 9/80 schedule (every other Friday off). There are a large number of companies down in here in Houston that already follow that schedule so there is a risk of losing talent to those companies due to this new “hybrid” schedule.

I’m not going to change. I get my job done and I’m not concerned.

LOL. I don’t think the OP could be that d-mb to think that insubordination will work.

I mean, people tried that when they started requiring people to originally go back to the office. Then they started tracking when the badges were swiped. At this point, they will just let you go (with no severance) and hire someone else for cheaper.

I would but they'll fire people. It's not a good time to test that out, the company has all the power and knows it.
