anyone thats been around Corp America long enough, knows there's no employer/employee loyalty anymore, that died long ago. OP has a point, the announcement was made, was it premature? sure! knee jerk reaction? possible! but the fact is, dont soak in it, prepare, update your resume, start looking and dont get caught off guard.
