Just heard from a reliable VP that they plan to layoff thousands at Impact. This is scary!

I have no idea if you’re a VP at all, but major, major changes will have to come over the next 6 months if CSCO is to continue to do well.
Why?
I've been asking for years what people here would change ("getting rid of Chuck" is meaningless - you have to show who would take over the position who has the talent to completely change a broken 80,000 person culture and what they'd actually do to achieve it) and I've never received a single meaningful answer.
On the other hand I've seen enough failed programs where marketing said if we don't release something by an absurd date we'll go out of business and they've been wrong 100% of the time.
SVP here, can confirm what's been reported initially. Brace yourself, a major shakedown is on the way.

Announce at Impact? Cutting 20k from sales?
Only 20K? Not 200K? Haha
Cisco HR posts ridiculous things here sometimes to try to discount everything is being said. While this is clearly false but many of the comments here are very very true.

With high goaling, they may get a lot of account managers to leave by attrition. No severance needed.
This will age well
Don’t get what trolls get out of this?
That's old news. ...
reliable VP ? haha
Both have two down votes so I'm guessing two VPs read this site.
It's already too late to be useful so it won't be done, but in terms of percentage it's still smaller than the percentage of employees and contractors laid off in 2001 (13,000 of 48,000 or 27%.)
For it to be effective Cisco would have to flush from the top down as a lot of "leadership" can't do the job, and then they'd have to find leadership from outside that would take the job of righting the ship, noting top talent doesn't want to catch falling swords.
That’s all? I heard they are laying off the entire company. This came directly from Chuck.
reliable VP ? haha
There is no way the company would pay for employees to travel to a multi-million dollar event only to LR them on-site. Get real!

That's old news. I think you're clearly confused. Were you eating jumbo shrimp while talking about military intelligence?
lol! This is clearly a joke.
