VIptela will ultimately be ki-led off then? Viptela is quasi-cloud based, but a lot moving parts for sure to make it work. Problem is Meraki MX is not really a "router", but more a VPN appliance/firewall with some basic BGP/OSPF route leaking. It is ironic that the company that essentially created the router may ki-l the branch CLI router.

Pls don't Cisco...we already have enough half-baked products. Pls don't make Cisco a dump yard for junk products. Is this to join Kelly A back as SP again in Cisco?

Viptela SDWAN was a joke. Same story will happen to Versa if acquired. Once new talent gets the cash, bail out run away as fast from Csco. Rinse and repeat.

Same cycle of Innovation neutered and down the drain

Meraki is the future SDWAN platform for Cisco. They are already working on taking key Viptela hardware and porting them over.

Is there any SD-WAN that has succeeded? Riverbed SteelConnect was so bad they are selling Versa now and Velocloud, Viptela, Silver Peak, and Coudgenix were all meh. Seems like this whole space is kind of meh.

Meraki was pretty good, from all reports.

Then Cisco would have 3 SDWANs to sell and support.

no surprise if acquired. Csco SDWAN and SASE are epic fails.
