I have actually seen some people write on this site that ex employees are just crying when they get laid off (these people are trolls that seek any kind of attention).
The people that defend PepsiCo, most likely have dodged the layoffs every 2 years and are still there.
A little insight from someone that got laid off late 2022. The reason people are 'crying' is because leadership makes a decision not to protect their employees but to put their employee's livelyhood at stake therefore putting their family at risk.
In some cases do people get laid off cause they are not making the cut or can be cheaper to offshore? Of course they are! That said speaking to a lot of people let go the last round of layoffs, most of these people had a wealth of knowledge, had excellent reviews year after year but still were sent packing right before Christmas.
The point is very few people are safe at PepsiCo, this is a fact that has been proven for the last decade. So for those people that want to make silly comments like people are crying, just remember there is a very good chance that you may be laid off one day putting you and your family at risk, not to mention in this enconmy it will bring you a lot of stress.
A lot of PepsiCo's leadership are corrupt and or shady. I have had only 2 managers provide solid feedback to enhance my career. The other dozen or so managers don't provide any feedback and still make a decision to let you go even if you work you butt off everyday cause you take pride in your work.
