Thread regarding IBM layoffs

Why sign IBM's "exit agreement" for peanuts in return?

I don't understand how IBMers are like sheep. They're layoff and then their manager push an "exit agreement" and they sign? For what? To be nice thinking they'll be they will be hired after training or whatever? For getting a lot of severance payment? Here's how this is foolish giving up the right to sue in court :

Now it cannot be changed and viewed like an arbitration agreement!

I hope lesson learned and no signing the complicated legal agreement IBM's pushing in your face as an "exit agreement" is it worth it?

IBM US employees have NO LAWS AND NOBODY looking out for them except for a Lawyer. Why else do you think you are a dying breed. IBM is banking on it. Don't sign without out talking to one. In IBM'S own words THINK

How do you know if you have a case or not unless you consult with a lawyer?
Looks like many had a case and many regret signing the exit agreement. Too late after signing.
Don't be a chump of IBM's brain washing machine. Think for yourself. Trust no ome. Do searches on IBM's age discrimination layoffs and consult with a lawyer who had such cases before. The thumbs down showing something don't you think...?

Is the OP a Troll? Dunno. If you don't have a case that one of the lawyers will take - then might as well get the "free money".

For me, yeah, earlier this year, early 60s, I didn't have a prosecutable case. So took the cash and paid off HELOC. Nice.

For my boss, yeah, he certainly would have a case. Not sure he's going there.

So my advice is if you think you have a case - not just pi---d off - then do a free review with the various lawyers that have won cases. If they agree to take it - then don't sign - and start with the company. If they don't agree to take it - then take the "slightly soul su-king free money"

LOL the IBM's down voting bots are back in full force? 101 thumbs down. . Nice. Looks like this post is effective vs all the other fluff posts without anything to do with layoffs but praising AK and IBM... LOL
Is it an HR person or an AI bot replacing HR people down voting?

When will IBM's employees learn?
