Just curious. Does anyone feel they have a buffer or do you think you are first? I know I'm first.

@1qly+1ocYrUZR That's highly unlikely unless your boss is an MD. Even Directors don't have a clue on who is getting laid off at this point, and a Senior Manager certainly doesn't have the slightest clue.
Too many managers. Definitely need to downsize managers. They don’t do much. They come in late during their shift and leave early. I wish I got paid to hand out snacks on a cart.
Green Employees are probably safe … Blue employees will be first ..especially those like myself making way more than my colleagues.. even though I’m a high performer … higher salaries will put a target 🎯 on your back
I really want this layoff. I wish I could volunteer and take the place of someone who doesn’t. All I know is that I plan on quitting before thanksgiving. So I am praying for the package. I’m not losing out in any more holidays or family time especially to a firm that doesn’t appreciate their workers. This waiting game is torture. Some of my team members are already checked out and not volunteering for any new opportunities and it’s really taking a toll on the team. I’m leaving regardless. May even do it the day of layoffs if I’m not chosen.
It's so hard to tell with these things. You never really know what the criteria is and they have to be careful so they don't overdo certain protected classes. I've been through several layoffs here and there are always surprises. Hoping this is my time due to the direction of the company. I wish you all the best and hope you all get what you want in the end.
I hope I'm the first, but I'm not sure. I think my entire leadership line is very likely to be cut, as they are made redundant by Green employees who are younger and more technically savvy. My immediate boss is clearly battling insecurity. We already did not have a good relationship, and the micromanagement and unhelpful nitpicking has reached a fever pitch. I hope this means there's a target on my back, because I have had the worst experience at Schwab and just want it to be over.
I don’t believe anyone on my very small and very overworked team is on the list. It’s interesting to read someone say the work is drying up on their team meanwhile I don’t remember the last time I took a lunch break or got up from my desk for more than just a water refill. Honestly, I wish I was on the list, I’m so over this sh-t.
I’m well-liked as a teammate, but the work has dried up. They need to reorg my function to better spread the work around.
I’ve accepted that I’ll probably be cut. If that happens, then something else will come along. This job doesn’t define me.
If I’m not cut, then I hope the org structure is fixed to provide more work opportunities for those of us remaining.
I don’t begrudge the leaders for needing to reorg and make the team more efficient. I just wish they’d planned and communicated better.
I will probably be the last, I am always passed over for everything, even this. I can't seem to catch a break
I feel like I'm first. My boss has suddenly started to take issue with things I've been doing for several years now without a single complaint prior to now. It's almost like he's trying to justify putting a target on my back and/or to explain to the rest of the team why I had to go.
Everyone is a target unless you are ceo , Rick or the ec .
@1yzo+1ocYrUZR
You sound like a decent person, so I'll give you 50 50 odds. If you were more humble and ego-less like me, well....
Green employee here who moved to a blue team. I think there's a target on my back.
I know I will be the first in my team, because my boss hates me, and we don't have a good relationship. Even though I am the smartest, most hard working, and am responsible for the high performance results of my team. The rest of my teammates and boss can't even keep up with me, or even operate at my wavelength. I am also the most humble, non ego based person you will ever meet. Yeah. I'm a goner for sure.
