I am seeing a lot of comments stating that people expect there will be another round of layoffs. Has anyone heard any thing solid about this?

Maybe they're getting smart and will do some research on the stacks instead of accepting that a managers cousin is also the best person in the dept
Anyone who thinks the cuts are over is diluted. It’s not over. No one need to calm out departments as that doesn’t matter. It’s happening and no one is safe in their role. Look, Crown has lost their way and until EMT leadership changes the carnage will continue
There is no stack ranking happening until someone can confirm which department. I've talked to directors on network, tower, and in corporate teams and no one has been asked or even heard a rumor.
It’s all BS. We’re hiring. I’m fact, some of the tower people who were on the cut list were able to move into open positions on the fiber side. I’m not sure why everybody is predicting doom and gloom.
Another round of stack ranking regardless of group is a sure sign more people will be gone come Jan 1
Which department(s) mine hasn't been asked either, checked with my peers and they're reporting the same.
We’ve been asked to rank our teams again based on competencies. We just did this and now again! Unbelievable.
What department? My team is not stacking again.
We are stacking our people again now
JB is a finance guy and if things are not trending positive by October you can bet another culling by Nov. If so most of my coworkers plan to volunteer then. In not I am going to start looking in mid-January and do the Purple bonus bounce!
There is a district manager posting on the fiber side. Doesn’t seem like another layoffs is coming. I’m fact we’re growing.
@1mzb+1obJ37hv Directors were cut.
It is when those co-workers are the decision makers.
@1mzb+1obJ37hv, speaking privately among your coworkers is not an indication that more layoffs are eminent.
Not true. I'm still here and multiple peopleI have spoken with privately all feel like there will be another round due to how much money the company is wanting to cut. Thos round didn't cut directors and up. Same with many of the senior managers. The cuts were at the decision of the VP. If you got cut your VP is who made that decision. They were given a total amount of money to cut. They will soon learn that many others need to get cut for there are still a lot of money wasters.
The folks that are saying there will be another round are the bitter people that got cut. Their hope that the company does bad does not mean it will.
The next round will begin around the holidays.
I believe CC will continue to shave its workforce after further natural attrition. I've heard that many are planning their exit as this week was hellacious for those left behind. Leadership is lacking and there are no immediate plans to stabilize or rectify the current environment. This seemingly knee-jerk reaction was poorly administered and has only left the state of CC in complete chaos. I feel for those hanging on in transition as they are being used to help clean up the mess that EMT made with their poor leadership and bad decisions. I believe this is all only the beginning.
The next layoff round will happen Q1 or Q2 next year when the stock drops to around $80. Based on this year's trend it will drop in Q1 when the EMT makes the earnings call for not meeting the small cell goals. Right now they are 6k short of reaching the goal. They already hinted that 2024 is expected to be a bad year for the entire organization and will not improve until at least Q3 of 2025. That improvement is only if next-gen 6 is starting to roll out.
They have to keep all the existing network folks (and are hiring more) to try to meet the 10,000 small cell goal this year. Then maybe we'll see another RIF in Q1 or Q2.
@pae+1obJ37hv It does feel like they’re getting ready to sell..
There is nothing solid, it'll be at least another quarter. Everyone should bet on this EMT doing it every quarter until crown is sold.
