I left Crown 10 months ago. I have to admit that while I feel sorry for those affected by the RIF, I’m also taking extreme pleasure in watching Crown fail. Is it normal to want to see a camp any fail after you’re gone or am I some kind of sadist?

This writing has been on the wall for YEARS if you had open eyes. You can delude and rationalize to yourself all you want though if you are a logical person, you know, this has been and is a shell-game sh1t show for a long time now. No decent company treats human beings this way. I have seen very good men and women -broken-. Leave them and let them wilt, if you have open eyes you know.
Wow that first response is pretty spot on
It’s doesn’t matter if it’s normal or not. I believe people get what they deserve regardless of whether or not bad things were wished upon them.
Wishing bad things on other people is not normal and it makes you a bad person. It says a lot about you and probably more so your upbringing.
I think wanting your former company and coworkers fail is totally normal. I worked with a manager who drank the kool aid, got promoted, posted on LinkedIn how great crown was and how he loves to bleed purple. He was the quintessential yes man. I smiled ear to ear when I saw him post on LinkedIn that he got let go.
"lack of ability to thrive in the telecom industry" lol what a joke. Sounds like something one of the connected, couldn't make it anywhere they're not connected would say.
Yes its normal to have negative feelings. They'll pass or they won't but over time they'll fade.
No, its not normal. The fact that you left and still watching the company you left shows your immaturity and lack of ability to thrive in the telecom industry. Crown does not need you or me, they will survive long after us.
Crown is nowhere near failing yet. Even if it goes Chapter 11 bankruptcy, a company gets to hit the reset button.
In the unlikely event it gets to the point of chapter 7 then you can say it failed, but it would likely be acquired competitor before that.
Just another day in telecom.
No it's not normal and you're not a sadist. You're immature. Crown, or someone at Crown hurt your feelings, they probably made you feel insecure, and now watching other people hurt justifies in your mind that you weren't the problem.
