Thread regarding Pioneer Natural Resources Co. layoffs

Can we please get a legit update?!

My weekend has been ruined by anxiety over this. I keep refreshing the news and this site to see if anything gets more substantiated. Throw us a bone 10th floor!

M&As in the oil industry take time, they are not a walk in the park. Over time more people need to get involved beside the executives, legal, environmental, reservoir, finance and facilities. All are blocked from trading PXD shares and sign a confidentiality statement. You violate the statement it is an SEC problem and most likely you will be put on administrative leave and then terminated three days later. In time the specifics will leak out on packages, dates, last days, support for those packaged. Remember Exxon is the acquiring company they will set the pace on who they will keep, Exxon folks come first. Just remember most of those people offered a job from the Irving Office will most likely have to move to Spring Texas. But if you are in your 50s, do you want to get a new mortgage for another 30 years for a million-dollar home a 2-door cr--ker box in Woodlands. It will be an individual or family decision do you stay or do you go. Once time Pioneer was an incredible company to work for, incredible benefits, double 401K, annual bonus, medical onsite. daycare ........., I know I had to put up with some fast trackers and several AHs, and over times you get many shanks in your back. But there day is coming and pulling vac won't get you across the finish line. In your remaining time work hard and look good and know your stuff.

Go look at the Parsley lay-off page. It went down for them the exact way as it is for us. Almost the exact same day. I have been stressed all weekend also. I’m afraid this is 100% happening. Official announcement will be just before earnings call

XOM are d-mber than I thought. Pioneer is slowly circling the toilet, if they waited a year or two they could have gotten it for a steal.

“A change of control termination for Sheffield would entitle him to as much as $28.7 million in benefits and payments, according to the company’s financial statements. For a normal retirement, benefits total more than $12.9 million.”

It’s always been written in the stars, my child.

Agreed, I hope not a single employee works until they properly address it. It’s for sure happening, so what’s the point…

Just don't do any work until they address it. Knitting their golden parachutes takes time, you know?
