The Covid labor shortage took care of that nonsense. Before Covid, it seemed like there was always some degreed monkey willing to come in from outside for a low level management position (and they'd bring them in 80% penetrated) and then within a year they'd be a senior manager or director. Kept all sorts of good people from getting internally promoted.
Post Covid, the Sr. Manager ranks are full of long term, non-degreed associates.
Sounds like un educated people are taking over the business. I wish to have un educated president elected by next year to pardon all student loans and closed all US universities/colleges so they all can work for Walmart with minimum wages.
a degree was never needed to do any work, it was only required to get hired. walmart hired any monkey they could find to bang rocks on keyboards so long as the company could remain solidly behind every technology industry by at least 10 years while simultaneously alienating the store associates and customers forcing them to shop elsewhere
Why not when every position will be AI. What that is saying is that no thinkers just followers.
