A few things I need to get off my chest:
- Those of you saying we should leave if we are not happy, we are job hunting every single day. With us “anonymous problem children” leaving won’t make a difference in how majority of staff are feeling and/or being treated. So until we are able to find something better we unfortunately need to continue working in an environment that is slowly breaking us down and if this is a forum where we feel comfortable enough to get it out then so be it!
- Many of us have spoken up previously only for it to turn ugly and we are still dealing with the backlash from that so you know what? If this gets their attention then that’s a step in the right direction.
- The general comments like “go to HR or your manager” is not always easy when they are toxic.
- We are allowed to be angry, a lot of promises were made and a lot of questions were danced around and we have been left without answers.
- Just because your experience was peachy does not minimise the experiences of others. There has been quite a handful of “negative” experiences and as history often shows us, once a coincidence, twice a pattern.
- No amount of free food, free alcohol, office parties etc is going to help the morale or engagement when the staff are at their end. NO ONE wants to come in! That’s says enough for me!
- Do you still think everything is great when you can clearly see your colleagues are emotionally and mentally down? If by now you haven’t noticed the people around you slowly sinking into themselves then you need to walk a bit more consciously.
- I’m not sure if you are aware but just because you work for a company does not mean you need to support all their views. Come on, grow up.
And with that I will say that since working here I have made some beautiful connections and watched some amazing people lose the light in their eyes, those same people have been on dozens of interviews so believe me we are all making our plans to get out.
The evidence is there, you just need to open your eyes and leave us to anonymously angry type! Go use slack to send positive messages to your leader, this is for us fun folks.
Peace and love Kool-Aid drinking MFs!!!!
