I assume he'd be dejected by what has become of the once proud institution he was instrumental in developing.
Empires fall slowly, slowly, slowly, then suddenly. Decades of a slow fade, then a few short years of MR, MP, Advance 3M (Advance 3M term was "sunset" due to the negative connotations so insert "3M operating model" or "3M forward" here) did it in.
