Are they going to send out a mass email "hey we fired a bunch of people. It's done."

Leadership will send an "all clear" message. Happened in 2019.
Those leader emails always contain, "it's been a tough week", or something along those lines. Maybe this time they can acknowledge the several months of anxiety that they put us through, but all is better since we will RTO soon.
Pretty much. You will start to see these pseudo empathetic emails from your new leadership team talking about the "tough decisions" that were made and "refocusing for moving forward."
That's gonna be the fun part of this one...it isn't going to end 😂
Someone from your management chain will give you an all clear once it's all over for your group/department. Until then, it's all a guessing game.
If nothing else you'll know by coming here. Trust me.
You will never know when/if it's done, just need to try and get used to that fact
