I see the writing on the wall so I went into Gems and clicked the resign button today and guess what - Nothing happens!!!! This has got to be the ultimate confirmation about the craziness of this place - They are really going to roll you over the coals unbelievable! Thank God there are labor laws that supercede the resign button lol lmao hasta lavista X! I will pray for those who stay - what comes next is just not worth the stress and impact to your health and the stress on your family. My advice cash out and move on...
It's strange since Uncle left the stock gets "pumped up" every day in after hours trading by around 1.25%. Even with that, the stock goes down by about a point per normal trading day since Uncle left. Is the smart money following Uncle quietly even after Stevie hounds them to keep this toilet paper of a stock? Maybe as we are a wanbabe IT company that makes all of its money by toner on paper anything else we sell doesn't stick like eggs on a Teflon frying pan...
Damage is done, really long past. Sadly nothing will save Xerox as they are way behind in everything across the board and Carl made it so much worse how. I am surprised they have yet to declare insolvency or he absorbed by another company.
Layoffs will surely continue. Nothing positive to see here.
You cannot polish a t*** but the Xerox see you next tuesday suite keep rolilng it in glitter, hilarious.
Yeah it's bad here at X in Webster tried to go to BJs down the road got called out for doing it on the clock - they have some type of locator where they can find you now in conjunction with badge (when you are on campus) coupled with MS Teams Analytics so watch out it's not like these managers were Born yesterday and they take orders well to notate who has been naughty and who has been nice. Chino might have less tech than these guys spend on monitoring employees...
Im sure the poster is accurate on their observations but as a field tech I witness a lot of 10% occupancy at big office buildings so it’s probably a nationwide situation.
People who are onsite say WFH employees threaten to quit if asked to return.
I had a vendor come into some of the Webster labs recently and once we were alone he asked "what the heck is going on here". They were shocked and embarrassed at the state of the campus and the outdated gear we were using to keep things going - he said worst he has ever seen. He took a part from an abandoned lab that was in rough shape because the requisition couldn't be approved to fix the right way... Everyone all looks stressed out burnt out and numb for those who actually show up (very empty campus I would guess 10% or less actual occupancy). Everyone tries to work from home... Also there are so many cameras outside the buildings it feels like a correctional facility not a good vibe. Managers yelling in their offices a lot.... I got out and went back for my Masters do the same while you still have your health hopefully.... you folks have it rough there. I fully agree with previous poster the place seems to run on politics like congress does aka don't pay for this tweak that delay this don't say that way too many acronyms to remember as well.... assume it su-ks worse in winter... Hope this post helps someone.
Even the clown car is now on the scrap heap…
I work in 111 and the comments about the CEO are spot on. The HVAC in 111 is full of toner dust and the interior is so delapidated it requires a work from home request daily from the effect it has working in a former storage building. The people hide in their offices all the time. There are a lot of boomers here in 111 who just hope and pray for retirement to come, and will do anything to get there because they absolutely cannot get work outside of X well maybe Home Depot. Stay away from this place very toxic and politics will prevail, and who you know is valued far above skill and effort. The chief product officer don't even live in the Rochester anymore because the Webster campus is a dumpster fire. I am with a recruiter and will axe the x as soon as possible wrong decision to come here highly toxic worst two years of my career in software development.
The old school and washed up ‘has been’ criticizing Stevie is a joke. The washed up ‘has been’ reeks of jealousy. You were laid off for a reason. You seem to use this website as a release for your anger. Perhaps look in the mirror and work on yourself. It will make you happier long term.
Think about it our CEO looked pretty frustrated on his last CNBC interview - The anchor thought / accused Stevie was pivoting to monetizing the data within Customers documents on air lol... He looked very tired where is the energy?
Think about it Sharp sells our gear now lol.
Think about it CareAR will save us lol.
Think about it let's talk sm--k like we have a clue about AI lol. Sorry Steve this is not the . com bo-m nice try maybe teach an intro Course at Columbia.
Think about it our stock is in a nosedive lol.
Think about it let's have Presidents Club in Mexico so you can't get your passport in time lol.
Think about it why are you still here a busboy gets more respect than these creeps. Do Not trust them!
Think about it why does Stevie always look like when speaking he is about to pinch one off then smiles lol think about it.
No cap, I thought this post was my manager lo key big upping me for flipping an account that was talking about ditching us and saving us at the end of the 3rd. Too bad it a haters post, btw one luv SC!
Yes HR just announced new health benefit packages for next year with lower premiums and less out of pocket costs. The shift in culture is happening.
Like urban renewal, how's that gone?
Carl was only in it for the short term. Everything he did (outsourcing jobs, etc.) was an attempt to prepare the company for a merger so that he made a ton of money. Obviously, that never happened. His backing out says a lot---nobody wants Xerox.
Copy machines are a commodity. The only way Xerox can get ahead is to provide exceptional customer service. However, to do so would require a lot of investment, which I don't think will happen.
I wouldn't be surprised if Xerox filed for bankruptcy.
Oh please.. Where have we heard this before ..Xerox will recommit to innovation, stability and customers..
Stock buy backs have been part of Xerox
history from the mid eighties …The 100 thousand plus employees are long gone along with the numerous Mfg sites, properties, training, service and distribution centers . What is left to renew..The damage is done ..Carl and his ilk was the final straw ..SB can tout the latest spin but what is left .
"The buyback signals more than just a change in stock ownership. It’s a statement of intent. Xerox, an iconic brand with over 100 years of legacy, is ready for its next chapter"
Chapter 11 maybe!!
The damage is so extensive I don't see to much of a comeback...
The Icahn family should be locked up forever. Ponzie schemes do that to people!
What a joke.
Renewal is forthcoming?
I wish so, but I doubt it.
Xerox is a shell of what it used to be. No more research arm (PARC & XRCC), no more wide format, no more 3D printing, no more lease section, no more partnership with Fuji - which results in no more state-of-the-art production devices.
Will there be renewal? One can only wait for so long.
