I've been hearing rumblings about the IA thing in general, but I recently saw a social media post that specifically states that ALL IAs will be done away with as of 11/01.
Just wondering if that's true.

I’m curious what these independent adjusting (IA) firms are doing in response to SF laying so many IAs off? Are they scrambling? Isn’t SF the bread and butter for many of these firms? I know that when I call to check in regarding deployments it’s all very awkward. There’s just an awkward vibe in general, apart from how quiet the hurricane season has been.
Watch! Reduction of independent adjusters denotes file count going down. When file count goes down less work is needed and when less work is needed the less operations staff they will need. Proceed with caution.
The company has extended it lead over competitors after a decade of decline and increased its capital strength by over 40 BILLION. Hardly falling apart.
Other than the truth that the company is falling apart, everything's great!
How is the quiet quitting going these days?
SF is blessed with the best leadership in the industry. Evidenced by their growing domination of the competition and a capital position that is the envy of any Fortune 50 company.
There was not a down grade of SF. Can you read?
More bad decisions from the top...is SF in financial trouble? These seem like panic moves?
Strange...first the greatest loss in company history of 13 billion dollars then a DOWNGRADE by AM Best. What's next moving services to India...OOPS. Will SF ever recover from this??
Theres no business formula that states treating your core workers poorly is a good idea. Seems clear a change in leadership is required. Think about it.
An entire IA firm was cut last week, and another 1 or 2 firms will be cut next week, including the one I work for. If you had asked me 2 weeks ago I would have said the idea of it is ridiculous, but now it looks like it's absolutely true.
Childish
Yes all IAs...KPs and CEOs gone...
Childish.
Downgraded
It’s all alphabet soup. Most of it has meaning only to people in a specific department.
Independents are assigned on a "as needed" basis. I highly doubt they will stop all use of independents.
Lol I love when people assume every acronym means the same thing. Example. IA in injury most commonly is insureds attorney. Clearly that doesn't make sense here but I still didn't know. So. Hats of to the douche in the comments that felt it was sooo obvious. Different departments use different things. And welcome to the show. Every. Single. Department is understaffed. Every one.
The plan in TL is to:
Get rid of all ECRs
Hire more CSs
Move all CSs to stewarded handling
More accountability, less ECRs mucking up claims, and having the single point of contact that all customers have desired for years. If a CS mucks up a claim, they have to fix it vs their teammates. This results in less employee animosity and happier employees.
Wow...this leadership is clueless. More guess work. Hey let's see if this works. Hey let's get consultants to tell us how to do things cause we don't know how to run a company. Losers. Uh lewww hoo hoo hoooooo azers!!!
Time to get out if you're working in those areas.
One of the biggest lessons learned with the ET HCL transition was that externals have to be dealt with beforehand.
This sure feels like "dealing with externals" to me
I heard from a friend in Total loss that they got rid of all ECRs as of last week, I been told call qs are thru the roof and hold times are insane, makes one wonder what the plan is because from what I hear Total Loss is severely understaffed and have too many new hires that don't quite know what they are doing.
Only future I see is Mandatory OT, not sure that even puts a dent in that department, I am so glad I never went there.
Unclear if enterprise wide.
Yes. In a large Midwestern jurisdiction, all ECRs are out by months end.
Looking for new homes for several hundred reassigned prox and weather claims.
no, fake news
With some of things recently put in, doubtful. More likely to lessen internal claims.
There is one retiree that hovers over this site and shows his ignorance at every turn. He got terminated.
Controlling costs at an already under trained and understaffed operations. Let the fun begin.
IA = Independent Adjuster AKA ECRs (External Claim Representatives). How do people not get this?
What about the EIEIO’s?
@1rhe insurance adjusters
What department is this and what job roles? Thanks.
The JU's were notified on Friday. I was personally in that group. The primary manager of that group indicated next week it will be the JPR's.
Yes, it’s true.
