After selling barely a hundred units a month for the last 3 years, Ford pulled the plug on EV in China. The 6 assembly plants is China is down to 2. Ford barely sells 150,000 cars a year in China. It's time to shut them down and stop the bleeding.

EV is not happening anytime soon
Mach-E is a product created by legacy Ford, or more simply, it is not a Model e product that was headed by Doug Field. The next generation of BEV's which are created under DF's leadership will resolve the sales issues that are complained about in this forum. Not just sales in China, but world-wide.
It started when they had the not so good idea to sell on a large scale three cylinder engine powered cars to Chinese customers who traditionally have an averseness to uneven numbers and this kind of engine configuration. It turned out that Chinese consumers had more pull than Ford. In recent years Ford's famous customer focus seems to be ailing in countries outside USA.

After 10 years, the Chinese finally realized how bad Ford vehicles are. They stopped buying Ford cars since 2016. Ford went from selling over 900k per year to 150k per year in China.
I don't understand why Ford keeps trying to make something that people don't want.
