Way things are going, I genuinely would be shocked if I had a job here in May of next year.

The only people that will stay are those with over 10 years at Ford and those with a pension. You are stupid if you're trying to hang on a rotten branch.
The only people who know are the ones who put ur name on the layoff list.
Any place can be like that. Look at Facebook, google, Amazon, and Twitter. I bet they never saw layoffs coming.
We live in an ever-changing world. Keep your skills and resume up to date, do the best you can, and that's all you can do. Nothing is safe these days.
