Because they haven't passed universal basic income yet to pay for my iPhone, Tesla and Starbucks.

I got out last November when stock was trading at 135. So happy and pulled out my pension. Get out, don’t wait for the stock and GESIPP to improve, it is not happening anytime soon!

I joined 3M because of its reputation. I have friends who worked for 3M for years and have family members who worked for 3M for over 20 years. In less than 3 years of my start date, 3M went from a company with valuable stock and mostly happy employees to a place with stock that is “dumpster stock” as one expert put it and where very few employees are happy. Everyone lives in fear of being laid off.

We all need jobs. We all need insurance. Finding a new job in the Twin Cities is not as easy as some believe. When you have a family and a spouse whose salary cannot support a family your choices are limited.

Look like everybody hate their companies for same reason as us. Check any of other company on layoff site. You might think are these same people commenting on every company page. It is cooperate America where rich doesn't give a damn about average worker.

All jobs su-k, and this one pays better than most.

And unlike some people here, I've never experienced any bullying or harassment or anything like that -- it's been mostly run-of-the-mill coworkers and bosses with a couple good ones (and a ja---ss or two).

What I don't like is that it feels like pulling teeth trying to advance my career, and frequent layoffs are stressful. Oh, and the GESPP is just costing me money.

But other than that, I like working at 3M.

I am sure many of the older employees are in the pension plan and would lose too much if they left. Most are riding it out hoping for the golden handshake. Unless you are a member of the diverse community, there is no future at 3M.
Sadly, Mike and Monish have done nothing to improve things during their rein. Consultants, failed initiatives and single minded focus on DEI have destroyed a once proud franchise.

As a former long timer, it used to be a very proud place to work. Getting a foot in the door was a pretty big deal and with hard work there was a future. Towards the end it came down to the money and hoping management didn't sc--w things up too bad.
