Agree with the all the posts; Marketing is a joke being run by Martin Agency ($$); Brand has their own agency because brand leaders have no financials services experience..and how much experiences does the new Advertising leader have?
All new marketings hire(s) think they are HOT stuff ..at the end of the day, they are running the same campaigns (education, wealth , product offerings) as the previous regime..biggest difference is they have added trendy buzz words like Lifetime income, having a paycheck, advice.......this is what happens when you hire marketing leaders that have ZERO financial services background...
If you wrote a comedy about how to sc--w up a huge corporation's brand and marketing, you couldn't come up with a better script than the one being written in real life by Micky, Thasunder and the Martin Agency. The empress has no clothes other than a VERY expensive dress made of fake dollar bills.....and paid for with very real dollar bills. I'll bet the people at the Martin Agency can't believe what clueless whale they've hooked in TIAA
I recommend going Glassdoor and reading all review about her on the Bonobos. She a fraud and bully. She will fire anyone that questions her ideas and only cares about her self.
For the person who said that Retire In Equity Campaign was a bad idea, that came from Steven T, former head of Brand after Dan A got fired. Steven T got booted by Micky last year.
I wonder if the shine is wearing off that penny? Some of MO's hired leaders were horrendous, and as someone else mentioned, no one is sad to see them go. They were arrogant on their introductory zoom meeting, and called themselves two peas in a pod. I guess they weren't totally wrong...
I don’t think “TIAA” hired her… it was T’s decision since the CMO reports directly to the CEO.
Whoever came up with the terrible “retire inequality” campaign should get fired. What nonsense.
Wow I found that Bonobos Glassdoor review and it rings true for how I’ve experience her at TIAA.
“The moment she feels threatened by you, she will go out of her way to make your job a living he-l. If you challenge any idea or initiative of hers, you're doomed. She will decide you are cancerous and will go to any length to fire you or make you so miserable that you leave on your own…She has no idea how to be a leader or to run a company. She takes credit for the good ideas that aren't hers and deflects/blames the bad ideas of hers, to others around her.”
She’s so snarky and rude. Her insistence on saying she’s excited about transformation which she structures these laughable org charts that eliminate good people who do the work. But ya, don’t try to question her. You’ll have a target on your back.

Let’s not forget, she used to peddle socks for a living and now thinks that she can lead a FinServ marketing org.
And let’s not forget the FORMER head of Brand( Steven something) got booted because SHE disagreed on his views. Then she proceeded to downgrade the level of the chief brand officer so that they would have less say in decisions.
But not for nothing, the 2 CMOS who got booted, got what the deserved. They spoke down to and demeaned everyone and now they get a taste of their own medicine. They got played for sure.

Micky O. is the current CMO and is bloody tone-deaf. She considers people who disagree with her to be a "cancer" the organization needs to eradicate. She also has a charming Glassdoor review from her prior tenure at Bonobos.
TIAA’s idea of marketing is BS about how this group or that group doesn’t have enough saved for retirement. That group along with DIE should be dismantled.
