Are people who have been with Schwab for less than a year often laid off?

@1vvi+1oMp0W4B no, they will let the "low performer" go. But no worries, because you were so busy trying to prove yourself and to be such a high performer, you will inherit his responsibilities. Now you have two jobs in one. For the same salary. Welcome to the world of Quiet Hiring.

Congratulations. You just played yourself.

Are people going to be offered other people's jobs (or "new roles") before layoffs? Meaning if a high performer or well-loved person is in an ending integration role, would he be offered another person's job that's a low performer's?

Usually only newly hired or people leaders are let go. But if you are a working grunt hired exclusively to help integration, outlook isn't too good either.

My manager has had trouble keeping people. A former team mate even complained to HR. Possible this manager will be more likely to be laid off? Is there hope a bad people leader will be let go or is that not part of the "formula" the agency will use? Am I less likely to be kept because of my manager? Thank you. It's been rough out here.

well see.... if it fact there's an outside agency doing this... itll likely be based on numbers and formulas they feel are or have been effective... I dont know if time with the company or time in a particular title will have any influence, it would be great to know tho.
