Thread regarding Ford layoffs

There is no future for this company tbh

People don’t collaborate, people take hours to respond on slack / WebEx.

This is where dreams and goals go to die.

If you are extremely unambitious and want to coast for the rest of your life , this is the place to be.

I would love to see Ford file for bankruptcy.

Not true. Ford will be around long after we are all gone. This company is too big to fail, has too many families dependent on it, and a land mark in the economy and American industrial dominance. It can go thru ups and downs, it will never seize to exist though.

Yep, many overstaffed in soon to be obsolete activities that still need to be staffed through the "transition". Eventually by 2023 we can all imagine the chop in production by half and unless you touch EV content somehow, and this is the case in all car companies... you're part of the buggy whip set. Don't need a horse, don't need a buggy whip. Like it or not, Believe it or not, it's all about easy low cost fuel depletion.

Nope . . . the coasting will soon be over as the company finally dies.
