Things have been quiet this week. Will they really take everyone to the new building?

MMS in San Diego was impacted today. Unsure of the total impact. Seems like it's a handful from each function.
9/26/19 Vince Florenza announced retirement and we got Polen. Coincidence the downward spiral started?
What is going on at BD HQ? Why has it gotten so much worse?
FWIW my spouse has been at BD HQ for over 2 decades. In the last 5 years or so, the culture has spiraled into the void. All the nice stuff they used to do in years past is long gone, and the little holiday parties and things they do now are pathetic.
If you are let go, you are one of the lucky ones. The rest will be left behind in a cr-p environment to pick up your slack. Go watch Office Space again...it's actually worse than that.
Although some folk from IDS were impacted, the layoffs are mainly in BDX

I guess BDB isn’t as affected but I do see people leaving or less people onsite during the 3 days.
It's odd for sure. My site was eerily quiet this week. I never want to see people lose their job but there are a handful at my site that need to go. We've lost a lot of good talent due to poor leadership and terrible HR. Hopefully, these people are on the chopping block if it comes to our site. Which site is the "big boss" coming to?
The last time there were lay offs on our site was March and 26 got laid off, it was the new people... number of people left since for different jobs so kinda hoping they won't need to lay off anymore but we shall see...very unpleasant time waiting around not knowing whether I'll have a job in a few weeks time ..
For the commenter below: I have heard new employees tend to be kept over more tenured employees when it comes time for layoffs. I am also new and hoping it's true.
I keep hearing that the current BDB leader will be leaving to become the new IDS President. Don't know what that means for us at bdb
