I just got a call back after almost 4 years, but I have a good job currently that I don’t want to leave. If I went back to NS for 1 day would I still be able to get the 4 new sick days and the extra personal day paid out? I have PTO at current job that I could use. It would be a free $1500 instead of just saying no to the callback. Anyone ran into this?

You do not have to qualify for sick time if you are coming back from furlough. All employees get sick days January 1st whether active or inactive. I am 100% positive of this. “All employees” is the language. If you disagree then you are wrong.
No you wouldn’t get the pay, you would have to qualify just like you do for Vacation.
Well , if you go back and stay, they will force you to work overtime, and your other job will fire you. There is lot to consider here.

Yeah, you'll really show them whats what. I'm sure that once you come in and work for a day and then quit that this multi-billion dollar company is probably going to just fall apart. They won't know what to do or how they will ever recover from you "screwing" them out of $1500. You guys aren't the brightest.

There have been 4 or 5 guys who did that that I know of. They all got paid. Getting to sc--w with them was worth more than the money. They sure don’t mind screwing with their employees.

There is no one that would ki-l to go back to NS , they would only go if they had no other choice, get whatever you can from them but be careful they are sc-m and you know they follow this board and try to join things on facebook to see who they can target next, you know the big boys love it when their underlings persecute the wokers.
Sounds like a good idea to me. Go for it. Get some money from them. When you quit they can call the next guy on the street who is “dying” to get back to the railroad.
