They are ALL the Same.
Trying to create a big pay day for themselves and their circle of bro's off of the back of Avayas legacy.
None are leaders who will build or grow. Just shuffle and sparkle with PR Spin and hope that the ever elusive payday will occur on their watch.
/The END
It has to be the Maskingtape, he came in a blaze of glory, gained the trust of employees and shareholders, turned out to be a ruthless liarer, look at his deliverables, just mass layoffs and a Diarrhoea Place To Work
I, for one, vote to blame the tic-tocker who enabled the hackers!
And all the horrible sales leaders who, like the horrible CEOs, only cared about a fat pay day and never about doing the right thing. And Shefali Shah for turning her head to pretend she didn't know. She was supposed to be the internal police. She is utterly criminal.
Lets blame sales employees V of sales. I
Definitely JC
KK - he should have sowed the seeds for a transition from perpetual licenses to SaaS 10 years ago. Everything that followed his departure was a result of Avaya on the backfoot, trying to play catch up.
I thought posing with footballs solved all problems because it meant we came in CLUTCH? We can't declare ourselves to be tech executives and become #1? No?

It's a disease. It spread. And has never been treated
Hands down, Alan because nobody misled the employees and shareholders more than he did. His mis-representations were cruel and downright wrong. Nearly everything he stated when he first came onboard has turned out to be lies. Kevin and Jim weren’t geniuses, but their shortcomings combined don’t come close to the damage Alan has inflicted on so many lives and careers.
Equal Opportunity Losers.
Everyone had a hand in it. Agree that Silverlake was most pivotal. Yet then..
DAN PLUNKETT & Susan Terry
PERIOD
From misleading public statements to the crazy compensation to the theft of equity, Alan is clearly the worst of the three.
Here's the thing though...Avaya is a "market leader" in an industry in structural decline. The decline is happening a lot slower than the cloud guys would want you to believe, and premise will be around for a very long time but its indisputable prem is not going to grow. Vendors like Avaya, Mitel, and to a much lesser extend Cisco (specifically their collaboration business) are going to throw off cash for years, but any concept of these businesses growing is pure delusion. The game plan for these kinds of businesses is to tightly control costs and keep cutting them faster than the revenue declines. That's why Avaya has repeatedly been attractive to private equity and was a failure on the public markets.
Kennedy, Chirico, and frankly Alan all knew this and in spite of public messaging are managing the business accordingly. Mass layoffs to balance the books against declining revenues are going to continue until the bottom falls out. The ship is slowly sinking...best to be looking for your personal life raft.
Silverlake.
Taking Avaya private and burdening Avaya with servicing a 8 Billion Dollar loan starved Avaya of the much needed cash to fund R&D.
There is a reason Avaya revenue has been in decline since then. No R&D, no new products, no sales.
You could say anything you want about Kevin and Jim, but you can never say they were frauds. Alan’s deceitfulness is on another level.
JC
he had a window to change & streamline Avaya products and services offered.
I thought he would, he said he would, but did not happen
