Well, they can’t risk people in panic mode by doing layoffs during nov tg. They might get it done early October and then announce that rest are safe and no need to worry.
Something tells me you’ll be first to go
Oct 30 or 31
Another possible factor in moving out the RIF date(s) is the NovTG; some of us are working on that, although smaller than the other TGs, still will be important for the firm. That's an extra month of people working on the NovTG that may be impacted by the upcoming RIF. I had predicated 9/18, which was probably at one time accurate; however as previously mentioned, like RTO, EC needed more time for "planning".
We watch you cry about your anxiety and how horrible leadership is to notify you that there will be reductions.
Eventually the dust will settle and you’ll realize you weren’t laid off.
You’ll pretend like you’ll resign but you’ll take that next sabbatical as well as the following three.
My next out of a-s prediction is that the OP will not only be fired but physically dragged out of the building weeping.
This is like quantum mechanics. Schrödinger’ equation. Cat in the box experiment. It’s going to be 10/18.
It’s a lot like the well thought out RTO plan.
“WE ARE GOING BACK 1 OCT AND WE ARENT CHANGING OUR MINDS!”
hey there aren’t enough desks to fit everyone
“WE ARE GOING BACK 2 JAN”
They probably had an aggressive timeline that wasn’t realistic. So they moved the goal post to accommodate and actually get it done.
Money is still on early October. That leaves 2 solid months for org realignment and real estate to figure out floor plans before everything comes to a halt in December holiday time.
Settle down buttercup.
It was moved from this week to mid Oct. There have been several posts confirming the change.
