Thread regarding Cisco Systems Inc. layoffs

The California LR. Is it again cost cuts?

In the last round of layoffs, Chuck and Scott clearly said to us and shareholders the restructuring was not about cutting costs. That was very questionable at the time seeing so many senior people impacted, but now that the layoffs have hit the higher cost employees in California, I think it’s pretty obvious what’s really going on. Cisco can do what they want, but they should be honest with employees and shareholders. Somehow, this is eventually going to catch up to them. Some investors need to start asking some tough questions at the next earnings report.

The rest of the world would love to see CA shrink right off the map. But in order to be truly effective the people who left, moved out and ruined the areas they moved to, must all return home so they can slide off into the ocean with their out of control loony state.

This would be a step in the right direction

Investors love Chuck, employees are brainwashed by Chuck. It is a dysfunctional company that treats employees like trash, but convinces them it is the best place to work.

With +8k headcount from Sp--k (that isn't revenue positive), I figure this bought the rest of Cisco approx 4k layoffs in FY24/25

It's always about cutting cost.

Outdated skills lead you to the door. It is easy to hide at an 80k+ company, but eventually, your time will end.

Agree we can't blame Cisco for wanting to shrink the CA footprint, but they said the LR was not cutting costs, it was restructuring. They put lipstick on the pig, and we believed it.

Also agree most shareholders and investors don't care about the employees until it is too late. Nevertheless, at the end of the day, it is the employees that make a difference, and Cisco is becoming heavy on the number of brainwashed employees thinking it is the best place to work. Something has to change! We are screwing our best resource, our people.

Tough questions? Shareholders don't give a damn as long as the stock price keeps soaring. They'll ask questions when it's too late.

Are you sure you want to hear honesty from the ELT? I have my doubts.

Periodically I drop in to remind all of you that you are trapped in The Matrix. Not only are you trapped but you are so blissfully unaware The Matrix even exists despite the fact it's right in front of you. Somehow people don't want to listen.

Baby what a big surprise

Right before my very eyes

Here's the honest answer: all employees are marks and su-kers working themselves to an early grave to subsidize the lavish and extravagant lifestyle of Chuck and his sycophants. They are all laughing at you.

You can't blame Cisco for wanting to shrink its California footprint. Smart move. Most investors will feel the same.
