Thread regarding Ford layoffs

I don't feel like im part of a team honestly

I pretty much work alone and there is no one i can work with or collaborate with.

Not sure how there is going to be any culture here left; this is a sad way to work

Unfortunately the review process doesn’t encourage team work as the ranking plus the scarcity of the top performer rating invites competition. Some people compete by giving their all, others compete by back stabbing, hoarding knowledge and taking credit for other people’s work. Throw in the frequent layoffs and many feel even more desperate about making themselves look good. It is not an environment that fosters team work.

Just do your current job as best as you can while trying to find another, better job. Once you have the new job lined up, you can get yourself out of there. Best of luck!

You may need to consider moving to a new department or engaging your network to bring the right team members to your collaboration meetings.

There is no teamwork at Ford. Everyone tries to take the credits and back stabbing others. You hardly see your teammates because they are all Quiet Quitters.

I was let go at the end of this past June in what is the new 'quarterly layoff' trend. For about a year before I was let go I had an awesome team: Me, Myself, and I ! ;)
Focus on getting yourself together, and 'play the game' as needed to get as many paychecks out of 'the corrupt system' as you can before there are no more . . . Talk to other people in the same boat (like us here !).
@1rkg above is correct: "You don't feel a part of a team by Ford's own design." So - It's ok to 'play them' back !

You don't feel a part of a team by Ford's own design. They encourage bad behavior and backstabbing through their recognition and promotion as well as continuous Game of Thrones reduction practices every 3-4 months. People are just trying to survive, you can't have real teams and supportive culture when you have to watch your back. Groups you see that you may think they work together are only faking it. The whole keep your enemies close dynamic until you can sell them up the river.

The "teams" are in or moving to Mexico, Brazil, or India.

Plan on moving to one of those places to get what you seek.

Transfer to a plant. We work together everyday! Yes the pressure and work is hard but working as a team is the best!

My previous team was great - people were engaged and we had a virtual office space where we worked together most of the days.
We got a new manager and that was done. Now they are discouraging people from working together.
People are miserable. Absolutely miserable and feel powerless, as the job market su-ks and we're stuck trying to do the best we can with zero support. Our new manager makes fun of us to our virtual faces. It's terrible
