Salaried Get Ready

Whatever extra cost the UAW contract incurs, executives will offset by reducing more from salaried personnel. Salaried are pawns in managements chess game.

Farleys salary should be reduced at least 75% to be on par with well run auto company’s CEOs like Toyota. There should also be a claw back of his compensation. $1 for every recall on every vehicle. Bet he would actually pay attention to quality then instead of just mouthing off to the media.

To some extent, I agree with the UAW - JF makes "way" too much money. But when the company eventually settles with the union, as in past years, same is funded by cutting the white collar work force. F**d could increase their customer base and profits if they changed that algorithm and paid the settlement with funds taken from JF by reducing his salary.

Salaried are the court jesters for management. When management is bored with them, they are dismissed with little fanfare.

This wouldn’t be the first time the Salaried employees took it in the chin to support those drunken high school dropouts that work the line.

Historically, they have increased salaried pay to even out with hourly raises, increased prices will cover the additional cost. Since the majority of competition is also subject to the same cost increases doesn't really create a competitive disadvantage to raise the price. Really, you're talking about 25-30 labor hours to build each car. If the company is currently paying $60/hr that's $1800 in labor costs per unit, even if the labor cost double to $120, an >$1800 price hike is pretty much expected every year anyways. I wouldn't worry too much about it, it happens every 4 years.

UAW... they don't care one damn thing about the company or the Salaried workers. They have no problem taking down the company. Any company!

It’s sad to see what has happened to Ford Salary employees. High deductible insurance was the start after Obama care. Now people cut just before reaching full pension. And jobs heading overseas.
