I'm so tired of waiting. Lay me off. Pay me to start over. I'm perfectly fine with it.

Don’t discount yourself too much. You have many marketable soft & hard skills from working at Schwab that are marketable & transferable. Do an evaluation of your hard skills.
Focus on what interests you and use online resources or a certification course to add or improve. The good thing is if you’ve worked for Schwab a while, you’ll have more severance, unemployment and time to add or enhance your hard skill(s) if you’re impacted.
Agreed with OP. Bring it on. All this waiting around is really putting a ki-k in my fall plans. :)
If you have no marketable skills, then start working on them. See this extra time as an opportunity to hone in your skills. If you aren’t sure what to learn then just learning advanced excel or something and build from there.
I wish I could do that. But I have no marketable skills. I have been at Schwab for so long, suffering from imposter syndrome.
