MALTA site is done. Just looking to unload before Schumer cuts off the allowance.

If GF employees were to unionize, it changes nothing. GF will still continue to divest in US operations and keep investing in Eu and AP. My money is on GF dumping the 2 remaining US fabs. CHIPS Act funding is supporting leading edge and development. Malta fab loading is down, tools idle and raises stagnant. Unionized will only hasten the inevitable.

Normally I personally wouldn't support a union, they lead to much higher costs for companies and it is hard to remove low performers. However, in GF's case, the way employees are mis-treated year after year at least all the manufacturing workings should unionize and get taken better care of. GF has become another hire and fire company and often times they just fire to hire in low-cost geos even positions like device designers and process integration folks. Anyone associated directly with the fabs should unionize and protect themselves!!
