SAS Selects TD SYNNEX as Primary Global Distribution Partner

I wonder whether this is “the other shoe dropping” in the closure of international SAS offices or if this will trigger further closures?

If the plan is to close most of the international offices, this is exactly the sort of move you would expect them to make.

Anyone at SAS in a sales / presales role right now should be feeling extremely nervous right now. Dust of your resume and start job hunting...the axe is coming.

This could be both an "other shoe dropping" and an opportunity for further cost cutting.

The closures announced in May were specific to international offices. But TD SYNNEX operates in every important market. And SAS is a company looking to cut costs.

It really just means they are going to reduce internal sales operations. They are basically outsourcing much of the deal processing to a third party. So, SAS creates a standard agreement, TD Synnex processes the paper the same way every time. Weave in some process automation, and bo-m... fewer people in finance to process deals.
