Thread regarding Charles Schwab Corp. layoffs

AST all staff meeting

Just got off AST all staff meeting. It was mostly to clap hands for all the amazing work people have done. Well, at this point we need some transparency around layoffs, future project fund allocations etc. we have clapped enough!
It was also suggested to take time off after consulting manager. Why will anyone do it considering we can cash out the vacation days in case we are laid off.

I don’t get why we have such a huge hierarchy? I am from STS and as an example, what does Naveen do? I just don’t get it. Today he came for all hands meet and blabbered something for 30 mins and told us to clap.

Schwab understood that there were lot of incompetent people in 2019 in STS who were not capable of supporting mergers this size. Hence Naveen and team decided to hire around 400 people. With the help of them, merger was a huge hit!

Where the heck did they add those resources . It’s been crazy work all these days . Expected these guys to announce something for the folks who gave up their long weekends . Nothing . Just empty words with no actions .

Naveen mentioned that the team strength was scaled to 600 from 200 for the TDA migration. I wonder if they will retain at least half of those additional 400 FTEs.

Let's encourage every one to take leaves so we don't have to pay out. We will take leaves . Our sick leaves. Not the ones they ought to pay
