I guess that’s what makes them effective. This time “HR employee benefits this month”. Next one they put out will be “check out what’s happening to your pension” or “we’re changing the ranking system” followed by “click here”

I purposefully try and wear the “suspicious email” button out. I figure if they want to try and catch me with some BS, IT in India can deal with the research of all the emails I send.
EM, we are in the O&G business, we even got some extra so we use it to gaslight our employees.
I purposefully click on the “suspicious email” button when I get inundated with the emails reminding me to give to the United Way, or to hurry up and take another active sho-ter/high rise fire alarm/computer security training.
It’s very EM to try to get us by using topics that are currently worrying their employees to reel us in.

I use the Suspicious Email button on 50% of my emails. Specially on those coming from my boss and other EM nonsense communications.
Makes a very productive day.
I agree, they are against us. Everyone is against us. Its clear to see. It's very oblivious.

If they have the right firewalls in place maybe, they wouldn't need these tests.
And since third strike gets you in real trouble. You can betcha it's brought up for the rest of your career. (If you manage to stay)
Nothing exemplifies Exxon culture like these gotcha spam tests that can damage your career. Just remember…they want you to quit, employees are a liability.
