Thread regarding Crown Castle International Corp. layoffs

Is it too late?

Is it too late to volunteer to leave? I survived but the last week has been he-l. Overworked because they pilled everything on you, no respect, lack of care, just overall toxic environment.

They want you to do everything immediately and they don’t care about your wellbeing

The workload will absolutely impact those left employed. It’s obvious middle management will keep their jobs by making more policy and procedures as well as customer work load. I’m happy I took the buyout. I’m still curious how thing look in 2024 when T-Mobile, Dish and Verizon break loose. I haven’t heard much on AT&T work. Even though crown isn’t managing, let’s look at all the typical scopes still required for applications. Yeah it’ll be a heavy task ahead.

I have seen a lot of low or middle managers just continue to push paper, have a few Purple scripted comments on the numerous teams dept calls, and come in max 12 hours per WEEK, they made it through the layoffs. Lead by example much? Not in the offices outside of Houston or Canonsburg. But they are still here. Some employees took total advantage, I watched it happen in disgust. But what/who are they mimicking? Sr mgmt needs to look closer at their buddies.

10x work load but no overtime. In a month or two they’ll pretend the workload was never increased and start blaming us for not getting the work done.

The next round isn’t too far down the road.

OP, The leadership is banking on the fear of those left behind, to over work themselves. They will get rid of you in a heart beat if they so chose. I choose to not give in. Anyone with marketable skills can move on to bigger and better opportunities. Time to assess your skillset, experience and improve on those if needed. I’ve been in telecom for 20+ years and have worked for ALL the major telecoms. Each one has provided me with the knowledge and skillset to be able to leave if necessary. Invest in yourself and you will always be better off.
