Thread regarding T-Mobile layoffs

LEAD Program Paused due to “anticipated business changes”

The LEAD program has paused all stretch assignments until October 1st, due to “Anticipated business changes”. All other dates/milestones afterward are unchanged.

This lends the idea that last week of Aug/September 1 is definitely the time.

So… 2 week warning!
I feel for the people in support roles that toil tirelessly to bring essential information to the leadership team and frontline on a daily basis. Imagine having “the best quarter ever” and being the biggest telecom in the world, but being so profit hungry that you will sacrifice the integrity, and reputation of how you treat employees.

Then to continue to pound the same departments down to dust…

The house is in Prosper, Texas and isn't too hard to find online. Have a look at the Zillow listing yourself. All I am saying is the man is living in a castle and doesn't give a sh-t about you or me or anyone other than accumulating more.

Anyone who’s been a Director or more for at least five years and owns a house in the Seattle area is likely to have a $2M house.

Someone who is 50, been in the wireless industry for 30 years, been on the SLT for 10 years, owns one $2M house? Scandalous.

“ Jon Freier lives in a massive $2 million house”

Except that a 2M house in Seattle/Bellevue is nothing special really. A little shocked this isn’t a 10M+ house.

I knew at the very core T-Mobile is the same as any other corporation. But there were times when I believed in the culture. Times when I felt good to work here and that we were making a positive impact. But you can never lose sight of what the SLT are and like the poster before me said "Corporations gonna corporation. It's disgusting and no members of SLT will ever have enough. Jon Freier lives in a massive $2 million house while laying off people trying to just make rent and feed their kids. For what? Shareholders. It's ok to ride it out with T-Mobile if this round of cuts spares you. But be prepared and know that they hate you and your time will be up eventually.

T-Mobile no longer innovates. Unless you call a Revvl Tablet innovation. They have more customers than ever so now it's time to tighten the screws. Just a few years ago they ran a "Fee Face" commercial. Now they can't come up with enough fees. Then the frontline is tasked with repeating some ridiculous talking points to customers. The customers know the fees are disgusting, the frontline knows it too.
