Promote Gibbons to CEO now!

Share price under Mike has dropped to 100 again. Only Gibbons has the guts and vision to cut out the fat (overpaid and co--y MTE roles needed to be cut by 50 percent or more). Kearney has clearly helped this company realign and energize the mess Pete inherited in EO. Hire the CFO from the new GE.

We need a leader who can parcel off 3M in strategic pieces and stop wasting precious cash on outdated and bloated pension programs. 401k match only going forward. The boomers and Gen X crowd is lazy and only hanging around for better pensions. Stop this madness! If you are only here for pay exceeding 150k and a pension, hit the road jack!

Gibbons hired Kearney because his son works there. It’s a clear conflict of interest that would get a lower level employee fired, but the rules don’t apply if you’re important enough.

Anyone who watches his townhalls knows this guy has his cr-p together and knows how to work a crowd. Kearney is being used because he quickly saw through the distortions and lies that middle management told him and they tried to cover up problems.

The lower level production workers and support staff mostly agree with his vision. No one likes cutbacks but this guy made the right cuts in the right places. Production staff despised the MTE people who were bossy and full of themselves. Kearney clearly gave him some good insight into where to cut.

I'm ready for his outsider perspective to redirect the fortunes of 3M back to growth and teamwork.
